Other Capabilities
Not every job fits neatly into a single category. Some projects involve multiple processes, unusual geometries, or equipment that’s too large to move. Others are one-off repairs or fabrications that don’t match a standard service description. Wesco handles a range of additional machining and fabrication work in-house, including forming, tube bending, surface grinding, equipment repair, and specialty machining. When the work needs to happen on-site, we can send a technician to you. If you’re not sure whether we can help, reach out and describe what you need. We’ll give you a straight answer.

Questions About Our Machining Services
How do I know if my job is something Wesco can handle?
The quickest way is to call us or submit a service request and describe what you need. We’ll ask a few questions and give you a straight answer. If it’s not something we can do, we’ll tell you that too.
Can you work from a sample part instead of a print?
Yes. If you have a worn or broken part you need duplicated, bring it in. We can reverse-engineer from a sample in most cases. Having a print speeds things up, but it’s not always required.
What's the difference between bringing equipment to the shop versus on-site service?
In-shop work is generally faster and gives us access to the full range of equipment we have here. On-site makes sense when the equipment is too large to trailer, can’t be taken out of service for transport, or when the repair needs to happen at the job site. We’ll help you figure out which approach makes more sense for your situation.
What areas do you travel to for on-site work?
We primarily serve the St. Louis metro area and surrounding region. If you’re unsure whether your location is within our service area, give us a call and we’ll let you know.
What materials can you form and bend?
We primarily work with steel, including mild steel and structural material. If you have a specific material requirement, mention it when you reach out and we’ll confirm whether it’s something we can accommodate.
Can Wesco handle rush jobs?
Depending on current shop workload, yes. If you have a deadline or a piece of equipment that’s holding up a job, let us know upfront. We’ll give you an honest answer on timing rather than overpromise on turnaround.
