Welding & Fabrication Services
(In-House)
Wesco Machine Works handles welding and fabrication for heavy equipment repairs, custom parts, and structural work. We weld using MIG, TIG, and stick processes to fabricate components from raw materials when parts aren’t available or need custom modifications for earthmoving and construction applications. From custom brackets to full structural rebuilds, we fabricate components designed for real world use, not showroom floors. Whether repairing cracked assemblies or building new from plate and bar to structural, we produce work meant to last for excavation, construction, and utility contractors throughout the St Louis & Saint Charles County areas.

Questions About Our Machining Services
What metals can you weld?
We weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron. Different metals require different welding processes – we’ll use the right method for your material and application.
Can you fabricate a part if I don't have drawings?
Yes. Bring us the broken part, a sample, or rough measurements and we can work from that. For complex projects, basic sketches or dimensions help but aren’t required.
How long does a typical welding or fabrication project take?
Simple repairs like bucket edges or cracked frames often get done same-day or next-day. Custom fabrication projects depend on complexity and our current workload – we’ll give you a timeframe when you drop off the work.
Do you repair aluminum equipment?
Yes, we TIG weld aluminum for equipment repairs, custom fabrication, and modifications. Aluminum requires different techniques than steel but we handle both.
Can you match existing parts or make duplicates?
Bring us the original part and we can fabricate duplicates. If the part is worn or damaged, having the mate piece or measurements helps ensure proper fit.
What if my equipment needs both welding and machining?
We handle both in-house. If your repair needs welding and then precision machining, boring, or grinding, we coordinate everything without sending work elsewhere.
